Delightful and relaxing vacation home! Very clean! Bright and cheerful accommodations that are just so comfortable! Loved the screened in porch area on the front & the sitting area out back. It was one of those places that made you feel at home. It was just a short distance from the beach (200 steps I believe). We even walked to a few stores and a seafood restaurant. But you still felt like you were out away from the hustle and bustle of things. I enjoyed taking my coffee to the beach in the mornings and sitting in the gazebo which was close by." Somewhere in Time" place was very clean and comfortable. Bright decor that was very refreshing. Added bonuses were a treat with a washer and dryer, coffee pot, hair dryer, beach towels and beach chairs to use if needed. We met the owners who were so kind and helpful. You could tell that they wanted you to have a relaxing time while there. I loved the beachside decorations in the home, just made you feel welcome. I would love to come back. This was supposed to be a family girl trip but due to health emergencies, we had to change the plans so my husband went with me. He enjoyed it as much as I did. The other bonus was that we did take time to go to Savannah which is only 18 miles away. We also enjoyed going to the lighthouses on the island and the forts. Thank you again for the memories. Great Spring Break on Tybee! Sandys beach house was great for our family of 5, including 3 teen boys. The upstairs was spacious and had all they needed with the full bathroom. An upgraded TV with additional input jacks would have been ideal for the large upstairs bedroom for their games. We had two cold rainy days, and got to spend some down time inside. The kitchen had more gadgets than any beach house we’ve been to, including the measuring spoons for a smidgen, a pinch, and a dash. The house was clean, furnished nicely, and had all we needed for our 5 night spring break trip, which started out as a one day visit to the SCAD Day open house, and expanded into a nice vacation trip on Tybee Island. It was nice to see more of Savanna, all of which was very scenic, especially in the spring with flowers blooming. Sandy’s beach house had a great location to Jaycee Park, North Beach, Light house, Restaurants and Shops. The fenced back yard was very convenient for letting our dog out in evenings and early mornings. Although Campbell Ave seemed to be a busy street, we did not notice it, only when starting out on bike rides. The storage area/garage under the house was nice to have to store our bikes in. We had delicious food at the Sundae Cafe, Breakfast Club, North Beach Grill, Huck-a-Poos and was pleasantly surprised at the tasty and plentiful shell fish meals we had at The Crab Shack. The property managers were very nice and interested in the quality of our stay. The only suggestions would be an upgraded TV upstairs, and a dresser for clothes in the downstairs bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Hammock (in spite of the cold weather). Even with the cold, the fire place was a nice addition. Brooke was very helpful and was available to assist with all of my questions/needs. The only thing missing was the instruction manual for the TV the first night, which would have been helpful, but was provided the next day. Great location - Clean Condos! The staff was great to work with. We needed an early check in and they did everything in their power to make sure that things were clean and ready for us to get in when we needed to. The parking garage was a bit tight and a vehicle was hit by a driver that did not own up to his actions, but there is limited space for large family vehicles to park and deal with loading and unloading. Thought the house was really nice and sparkling clean. Looked just like what I thought it would, based on internet photos. Except the back yard was better!! Bigger than I thought. Great Marsh Access But Not Too Close to the Beach.... The Grey Heron was a really nice property with excellent access to the marsh which my young daughters really enjoyed. When the weather was nice, they hunted for crabs and fish and had a grand old time getting muddy. I'm glad that there was an outside hose that they could use to rinse off! I kind of wish that we'd stayed a little closer to the beach, though, as it was a somewhat long walk for little kids. Other than that one small negative, though, this was a fun and very relaxing trip, and the staff at Tybee Joy was very friendly and easy to work with. Truly a Tybee Treasure Our stay was flawless from beginning to end. Was wonderful to be on first floor without stairs to maneuver and the home has most comfortable furnishings. Location was perfect for walking to beach and Tybrisia for shopping and socializing. This was the cleanest rental we've ever experienced-spotless. The hospitality,kindness and concern for our well being was exceptional and memorable. Would definitely recommend this property to friends--already have done so to several couples we met while walking on the beach and friends in New York. Bob had a serious angina episode during our time here and we commend the staff at Urgent Care for a prompt highly professional response. Tom and Alicia were our guardian angels. We were blessed. Thanks for a great minivacation. Would love to come back.... The door to the empty space that leads up to the upstairs was not locked. I called and a guy came out to lock it but didn’t have the right key. It was never locked and it didn’t bother me cause there was no one that had the upstairs rented. The other thing was the shower would drip and I'm assuming that the seals in the knobs need to be replaced. It is a beautiful place and affordable. Great Little Place to stay... Thanks to the girls and guys taking the appointment to the owner for being the kind of owner She should be!! loved every minute of our stay…will definitely stay there again! Spacious, charming and relaxing This was our first visit to Tybee Island and it was beautiful. Our family included 6 adults and 3 children and this house provided us plenty of space for everyone. I never would have thought that two kitchens or two laundry facilities would have been needed, but it was so convenient. The kitchens are completely stocked with everything you need to prepare great family meals. The beach is just a short walk away, including the jetti for some fishing and shell searching. The bikes were great to ride to the convenience store or just sight seeing. Plenty of privacy and parking! If you know anything about Tybee, you'll appreciate this! Amazing Tybee Cottage - Best Stay Ever! Wonderful, immaculate, beautifully decorated home. The screened front porch became our favorite hangout for breakfast and evening cocktails. The best place ever for our annual "Beach Girls" get together! Close to everything - especially the beach. It really was just a short stroll away. Friendly neighbors as well. Can't wait to stay again.

Dear Joy, I just want to say THANK YOU! We had a wonderful time on Tybee Island. Happy House was a fantastic place for my large family to stay. There were so many places to explore and find a peaceful spot if needed. You were a huge help and very accommodating. Our family of 25 stayed at the Ultimate for our family reunion. Age ranged in our group from 7 to 80. Everybody had a ball! The house was big enough to accommodate each age group, the teens had their own area and the seniors had theirs. We could put our young one to bed early on a different floor and still be able to enjoy being together without waking him. The kids could enjoy the beach and others could go into Savannah for the day on Saturday. We've been having our reunions at different places for the last 13 years. This is the first one that met everybody's needs! Thank you, Joy, for being so helpful and flexible with us. We're planning to come back next year!

My wife and I rented this through Tybee Joy after a mix up on another place. Oh, how we are thankful for the mix-up! Otherwise we would never have had such a perfect place. Great location. short walk to beach and everywhere else for that matter. Beautiful, spacious home! We had thirteen, including 7 children and all was wonderful. We could not have had a more wonderful time. It was our first time on Tybee and we will be back!

The Butler Beach House for the last three years has been my immediate family's place to unplug while enjoying the slow-pace of Tybee Island. Butler Beach House offers a quiet neighborhood, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, excellent floor plan, easy walk to the beach and an enclosed wrap around porch great for summer afternoon naps and after dinner conversations. The Butler Beach is what vacation is meant to be.

I and my son really enjoyed our stay. We love the cozy feel of the house and enjoyed our walks to the beach (I love the cottage feel). Thanks to Joy for being so kind to us! We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Duplex!! My family had the pleasure of staying at this duplex during the July 4th weekend. Over the past few years, we have vacation in Tybee Island and this house was by far the best. It was conveniently located to the beach, stores, and the lighthouse. What really excited us were the bicycles the owner provided for both the kids and the adults. Our kids were so excited to stay at the "Happy House". They had seen the photos online and the house did not disappoint! It had enough room for 3 families (there were 13 of us)! The house is very large, well decorated and is set up perfectly for multiple families. There were two laundry rooms, an elevator, lots of living space and bedrooms and baths for all! We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Tybee. Also, the property manager was great! She was very accommodating. easy to work with and answered all of our questions. This is a great place to stay!

This rental has all the qualities for a nice, relaxing stay at the beach. It is near historic places yet within walking distance of the beach and all the businesses. The home is beautiful - tastefully appointed but comfortable and quiet. I noticed quite a bit of room for children to play safely outdoors. Adefinite "home away from home". Lovely!! S. We were skeptical about staying a block back from the beach, but the location was wonderful. We were close to everything. The home was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was very well stocked. We were very pleased. During our stay it rained and thunderstormed every morning, except one, and the front porch was very much enjoyed for sitting and watching the rain /storm. We have never stayed on Tybee Island, always in downtown Savannah, but found the island to be very relaxing. We would definitely stay at this home again. We enjoyed many activities during our stay: the beach, downtown Savannah, fishing, shopping. One of the great things was this home was available for daily rental. It would be nice to enjoy an entire week long vacation, but as business owners, we find it difficult to be away for an entire week and were grateful to find such a nice place willing to rent on a daily basis. It was a very memorable vacation. Thanks for a great time! This is a charming beach house!! As the one who picked the cottage for our trip I would have felt somewhat responsible if my three friends had not been happy with the cottage. Not the case at all, when we opened the door and took a quick walk through we were all thrilled!! It has the charm of an older beach house but the updated amenities you want. The pictures on VRBO accurately show the cottage but don't do justice to the extra decorative touches. It was clean and well maintained and Joy was helpful in recommending local places to eat. It is a short block from the beach and there are many shops and restaurants within in 2-3 blocks. We actually came to the area to see Savannah and this was a great place to stay. It's about a 15 minute drive to the historic district. One restaurant we would highly recommend if you want some good Southern home style food is Sisters of the New South. The restaurant is just off of Victory Dr. on Skidaway Rd. on the way into Savannah. Recommended for: Age 55+, Girls getaway, Sightseeing, Families with teenagers, Families with young children

I can understand why you love Tybee Island. What a great location to go to the beach, tour and of course, EAT! Loved visiting Savannah's historic places. It was nice spending time with good friends in your wonderful beach home. To more happy times!

This is the Place! If you want a close-to-the-beach, convenient location that is clean, comfortable, with a private feeling. Here at the very south end of the island, you can enjoy the action on the beach or take an easy walk around the south tip and view the quite wilderness on Little Tybee Island across the inlet. Head north a couple of blocks and you are downtown....The owners accurately explained the locale and the household amenities and was always willing to give great suggestions about activities, restaurants, etc. Six of us stayed comfortably on the lower level. Highly recommended getaway for anyone who`s attracted to a private, yet convenient locale.Recommended for:Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.
