Great location to stay in
There were normal wear and tear things. We're avid cooks and bought our own groceries for the week so we did notice that the pizza cutter was broken, the oven rack seemed a little small for the oven ( like maybe it wasn't original to this particular model) it fell down onto the food we were cooking below it, the towel rack in the master bath outside the shower kept falling down into the tub when we'd try to hang anything on it. Minor cosmetic and cleaning items: the wall at the landing of the stairs needed cleaned, the baseboard behind the trash can was dirty, throw blanket from master bedroom closet had dried food on it and need washed before use, sink in main floor bath was slow to drain
There were a ton of bonuses! Great access to a very quiet, walkable beach. Quiet neighborhood at the end of town. Very spacious, roomy house - even more so than described. Great balconies for viewing the oceans and ships. Really liked the parking situation. Beds were comfortable. Bonuses not mentioned in the listing: beach towels, toaster, coffee pods & coffee creamers, board games to play, and there were camp chairs and beach chairs in the storage closet. Cozy, near the Polk Street beach Access.
The house is very close to north beach, a short walk to the polk street access point. North Beach is very quiet and there's plenty of space to stretch out and go fishing. You get a great view of passing ships. You can see dolphins jumping in the bay and find horseshoe crabs and shells. On the front of the house near the door is a map of Tybee island which we found very interesting. There are also local artists displayed in the house, which we also liked.
The house has a bedroom on the first floor, 2nd and third on the 2nd floor, and the top floor has a cozy alcove at the top of the house for kids. It fit our crew perfectly. The kitchen has all the amenities you need, coffee maker, Keurig and French press, microwave, electric kettle. The little welcome packet next to the sink had a small bottle of dish liquid, laundry pods and a sponge in case you forget, which we did! The master bath is huge.
We were only there for the weekend, and even though it rained a bit, we still got a full day of sun- enough to get crispy. The covered porch out front, provided a nice place to sit and watch the rain. We would definitely choose this place again. The owners were very nice and were great to communicate with. FANTASTIC Quiet Spot Close to the Beach
